This 1990 photograph shows Changi Road, with tall, leafy trees flanking both sides of the road. Changi Road was named after the Chengai, a tall tree (Blanocarpus heimii) that used to grow in the district. The trees however, were cleared to make way for Royal Air Force Base. Title devised by Library staff.
