This 1983 photograph shows Sims Avenue, from near Geylang Lorong 9 (towards City). Sims Avenue was named after Sim Kia Jan, who was a managing partner of Chin Huat Hin Oil Trading Co., director of Sze Hai Tong Bank and a committee member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
