North Canal Road, towards Raffles Place : general view [4]

This 1993 photograph shows North Canal Road (at Circular Road corner, towards Raffles Place). It shows a view of a street with a row of shophouses on the left. In the background can be seen the commercial buildings of Raffles Place. North Canal Road is named after the Singapore Canal which was built in the early days to drain the swamps. Title devised by Library staff.
