This 1984 photograph shows North Canal Road (from opposite North Canal Road Post Office towards New Bridge Road). It shows a view of a two-way street divided by a traffic island. There are shophouses on the right, and a fire hydrant in the foreground. North Canal Road is named after the Singapore Canal which used to be located in the area. Title devised by Library staff.
