This 1993 photograph shows Joo Chiat Road (from near Ceylon Lane towards Joo Chiat Lane). Rows of shophouses can be seen lining one side of the street, and in the background can be seen a partial view of several high-rise buildings. Joo Chiat Road is named after Chinese landowner Chew Joo Chiat. Title devised by Library staff.
