This 1982 photograph shows Syed Alwi Road, at Jalan Besar corner. It shows a view of a street with a three-storey shophouse building at the junction of two roads. Syed Alwi Road was earlier known as Syed Allie Road, named after Arab merchant Syed Allie Bin Mohamed Al Junied. Title devised by Library staff.
