The photograph shows the land reclamation works along Upper East Coast Road, near Bedok corner. Several people, including a lady in traditional ethnic attire are seen along the road near the wired fences demarcating the areas of reclaimed land. Makeshift shelters, exacavators and piles of earth are also seen on the reclaimed land, on the right of the image. Vehicles proceed along the road, while reclamation works are in progress. This photograph was probably taken in 1966 or 1967. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
