This 1982 photograph shows a single-storey raised house built in Malay architectural style at no. 448 East Coast Road (south side, east of Telok Kurau Road junction). It is built on balusters with crawl space underneath. An open verandah with timber balustrades and stone stairs form the main features at the front portion of the house.
