"A blessing in disguise! Adelle Tan (16 years old) and Alysha Tan (10 years old) got to receive the Edusave EAGLES Award and Education Merit Award from MP Desmond Tan in the same award ceremony amid the pandemic. Before COVID-19, they attended different ceremonies to receive their awards as their awards belong to different categories. In Jan 2021, the ceremonies were combined in order to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19, and of course, we were required to keep our masks on, practise safe distancing, and make no handshakes."--Contributed by Teng Meng Hoon, as part of the "Documenting COVID-19 in Singapore" collection community call.
