Water hyacinths in a pond in Potong Pasir, 1970s [1]

This picture shows a small pond in Potong Pasir in the 1970s. The western side of the pond (left-hand side of the picture) is filled with sediment from the Kallang River. As a result, water hyacinths grew rapidly in the pond. A block of houses, with address numbers beginning with 125, can be seen on the right-hand side of the picture. Title devised by Library staff.
