This 1982 photograph shows New Bridge Road, at Cantonment Road junction. It shows a view of a street with shophouses along the street on the left, and large movie billboards by the roadside on the right. New Bridge Road was built in 1842, after Coleman's New Bridge was constructed in 1840 across the Singapore River. Title devised by Library staff.
