This photograph shows a group portrait of prison department staff taken at the Prison Headquarters at Jalan Penjara off Margaret Drive. Divided into three rows, the group of 14 staff including four women posed for a picture at the steps leading to the entrance of the building. All are standing except for staff in the first row who are seated on chairs. The sign that carries the Malay translation of the department name, "Ibu Pejabat Penjara" is displayed above the entrance door together with the words "Prison Headquarters". The entrance of the headquarters is decorated with potted plants and flowers. The Prison Headquarters is also known as the Remand Prison and stood at Margaret Drive, Queenstown from 1966 to 2010 when it was demolished. Date of creation estimated.
