This 1983 photograph shows Sims Avenue, from Geylang Lorong 21 (eastwards). Sims Avenue was named after Sim Kia Jan, who was a managing partner of Chin Huat Hin Oil Trading Co., director of Sze Hai Tong Bank and a committee member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Title devised by Library staff.
