This is a 1930s photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows an aerial view of Marseille, taken from the hills behind the Old Port of Marseille (Vieux-Port). A major thoroughfare and the areas beyond the city of Marseille can be seen in the picture. The outlines of the Frioul Islands can also be seen on the horizon, with Chateau d’If in the middle.
