This 1992 photograph depicts Westerhout Road, towards Geylang Lorong 18. It shows a view of a street with low-rise dwellings along both sides. Westerhout Road is in the Guillemard area and is named after Johannes Bartholomew Westerhout. He was Assistant Resident, Superintendent of Tranquera, Accountant-General, Postmaster and Coroner in Malacca, and practised as an architect in Singapore. Title devised by Library staff.
