This 1982 photograph depicts godowns at Wallich Street (occupied by Clouet). Wallich Street is named after botanist Nathaniel Wallich, who set up the first Botanical Garden on Government Hill (now Fort Canning). The road mentioned is in the Tanjong Pagar area. Title devised by Library staff.
