Unloading of Hiap Chuan Joo sawmill's first forklift

Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken in the 1950s this photograph shows the sawmill's first forklift being unloaded on the day of its delivery. Title devised by Library staff.
