Sir Arthur's Bridge, 1972 : general view

This 1972 photograph shows Sir Arthur's Bridge at Kallang River, at Kallang Road. Sir Arthur's Bridge is named after Sir Arthur Henderson Young, Governor of the Straits Settlements from 1911 to 1919. The Kallang River is the longest river in Singapore, flowing from the Peirce Reservoir to the coast at Nicoll Highway. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
