This 1971 photograph shows an altar. Gilded auspicious couplets and a plaque inscribed with gold Chinese characters is hung above it. Some red candles and figurines of deities can be seen. This house is the ancestral home to the late Tun Dato Sri Sir Cheng-lock Tan in Malacca. He was the founder of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), which advocated his cause for the Malaysian Chinese population. Title devised by Library staff.
