This photographs show an airborne Vickers Valetta military aircraft on a supply drop. It bears the serial number WJ493. The plane was delivered in 1951 and was struck off in 1959 due to damage that is beyond repair. Vickers Valetta aircrafts were used for supply drops to British army troops in the jungle during the Malayan Emergency (1948 to 1960). Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
