This shows the front of a coloured picture postcard with a photograph of a busy scene at the Orchard Road Market. The photograph features people buying fresh goods from straw baskets. The market, built in 189, was popular for selling fresh products. However, it was later torn down in 1982 to make way for Orchard Point. The fountain on the left was placed there in 1907.
