This 2010 photograph shows Tan Kim Seng Fountain located at Esplanade Park. Built to commemorate Tan Kim Seng's contribution towards Singapore's first public waterworks, the Victorian-style iron fountain has three tiers and is decorated with sculptures of classical figures. One tier features four Muses while the tier below that features four faces of Poseidon, the God of the Sea according to Greek mythology, each spouting water. Title devised by Library staff.
