A black and white postcard of Tanjong Katong beach. The outhouses and jetty most probably belonged to the establishment (slightly hidden) further inland. They formed part of the many holiday lodgings that made Tanjong Katong a popular seaside resort in the early 1900s. Many of these were demolished during World War II and the remaining ones disappeared with land reclamation. Date of creation estimated.
