This 1992 photograph depicts Upper Bukit Timah Road, from the overhead bridge near Jalan Asas, towards the Railway Bridge. The name of Bukit Timah Road means tin hill in Malay, though only granite and not tin was ever found in the area. Title devised by Library staff.
