Visitor registration area at National University Hospital

"This is the waiting area for visitors who are visiting patients at National University Hospital. Only 2 visitors were allowed for any patient at any one time, so visitors may have to take turns to meet the patients. In addition, each patient is only allowed up to 5 unique visitors each day, who have to be registered at the counter. This was to reduce contact between multiple individuals in case of an outbreak, and to facilitate contact tracing. Visitor access was via a unique barcode given during registration, which had to be scanned at a gantry before lifts to the wards. Social distancing at the waiting area was demarcated using stickers and labels on the chairs and the floor."--Contributed by Kevin Seet, as part of the "Documenting COVID-19 in Singapore" collection community call.
