This 2010 photograph shows a sculpture titled "Cloud Prototype No. 1" by Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle. Cloud Prototype No.1 is a large-scale titanium cloud sculpture whose form is based on actual cumulonimbus (or supercell) thundercloud modelled by the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois in the United States. The artist engages these atmospheric phenomena as metaphors for the complex effects of globalisation on our existing cultural and political climate. Title devised by Library staff.
