This is a 1970s photograph of a makeshift storage space for a village house at Jalan Siput (now-expunged), off East Coast Road. Cans and wooden trays are placed on a low three-tiered open shelf. The open shelf, a wooden ladder and other items are sheltered under a zinc roof extended from the side of the village house. The attap roof and wooden planks of the house can also be seen in the picture. Photograph donated by Tan Marilyn and displayed at the Heritage Roadshow 2008. HRS3_490. Date of creation estimated.
