Photograph is a close up view of the centre upper section of the former Supreme Court Building. The Old Singapore Supreme court building was designed by Frank Dorrington Ward in the classical architecture style. Features the dome and balcony which is supported by Corinthian columns, belonging to the classical orders of Greek and Roman architecture. These columns are made of gypsum plaster, commonly known as Shanghai plaster. The pediment sculpture (an allegory of justice) which characterized the Supreme Court is also visible. The sculptures in the little triangular section over the columns were carved by Italian Cavalieri Rudolfo Nolli, who was also responsible for moulding the internal columns of the building.
