This is a pre-1914 photograph from E. A. Brown's collection. It shows a barefoot Chinese labourer carrying some cloth. Two large baskets full of cloth are suspended from a carrying pole across the bare-chested labourer’s shoulder. A swing gate is partially seen in the background, on the right.
