This picture shows an area for washing clothes at the edge of a pond in Potong Pasir during the 1970s. There are a few wooden platforms that are specially built for this purpose at the water's edge. Clotheslines are also put up in the trees in the area. This area is located opposite an area referred to as "127X" on the left-hand side of the picture (off camera). Title devised by Library staff.
