This 1982 photograph shows the north-eastern side of Syed Alwi Road, from King George's Avenue towards Townsend Road. It shows a view of a street with shophouse buildings along both sides of the road. Syed Alwi Road was earlier known as Syed Allie Road, named after Arab merchant Syed Allie Bin Mohamed Al Junied.
