This 1987 photograph shows the exterior of a block of flats in Queenstown. These three-storey flats were built in the 1950s by the Singapore Improvement Trust (SIT). Today, most of these flats have been demolished. Queenstown estate was named after Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain and Head of the Commonwealth. Title devised by Library staff.
