This 1986 photograph shows a shophouse at no. 161 Jalan Besar (at Rowell Road corner). The upper floor of the shophouse features casement windows with timber shutters, with openings at the top and bottom of the windows, for additional light and ventilation. A coffee shop occupies the ground floor unit of the corner two-storey shophouse. Title devised by Library staff.
