This photograph shows the external front view of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building from across a river. Completed just before the turn of the 20th century, it used to house many government offices. It is also influenced by Mogul architecture with its generous arches and domes. A long row of cars are parked in front of the building above the embankment. On the other side of the river, the compound of the Jamek Mosque and its alternate coloured minarets are partially visible. Huge canopy trees line the embankment opposite the mosque. Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
