Easter celebration during circuit breaker period

"The high point of the Catholic liturgical year is the celebration of Easter, and the resurrection of Christ. On the eve of Easter, we celebrate with candles, the vigil mass of Christ’s Easter victory where His light triumphs over darkness, sin and death. Trapped in our homes and the darkness of COVID-19, our family celebrated Easter vigil (with the help of modern live streaming technology), in unity with Catholics across the island and the world. The darkness serves only as a backdrop for our glowing candles as our tireless and timeless Christian hope cries out in defiance “O death, where is thy sting?”"--Contributed by Adrian Tee, as part of the "Documenting COVID-19 in Singapore" collection community call. This photograph shows a family observing Easter during the circuit breaker period. Instead of attending a church service in person, the family members can be seen looking at a computer screen where an event is being livestreamed. Additional description by Library staff.
