Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken in 1963/1964 this photograph shows workers loading paper rolls onto a lorry at the factory. Title devised by Library staff.
