Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken on 12 December 1964 this photograph shows paper sheets at the factory. Two persons resembling young teenage boys are also seen in the photograph. Title devised by Library staff.
