This 1984 photograph depicts a row of shophouses, located at no. 3, 5, 7 and 9 Veerasamy Road (northeast side). The three-storey shophouses feature windows covered with timber louvred shutters. Vehicles are parked along the road or at the shophouses' entrances. High-rise flats can be seen in the background. Veerasamy Road is named after Dr N. Veerasamy Naidu, a leading member of the Indian community. Title devised by Library staff.
