This 1968 photograph shows a shot down Orchard Road with its row of shophouses. Photograph was taken eastward of Oxley Road (which is perpendicular to Orchard Road). Orchard Road was so named due to the orchards and plantations that existed there until the turn of the 20th century. Title devised by Library staff.
