A ship sails into the King George VI Graving Dock, Singapore Naval Base, Sembawang : general view

This is a photograph from E. A. Brown's collection, taken at the opening ceremony of King George VI Graving Dock on 14 February 1938. The photograph shows H. M. S. Duncan about to enter the dock and moor. Naval ratings are waiting to take the mooring lines. Crowds of invited guests are also seen at the back, on the right.
