This 1991 photograph shows a house at the corner of Pierce Road, near Napier Road. Pierce Road is not found in the present day street directory. Napier Road was named after William Napier, Lieutenant-Governor of Labuan and the first Law Agent in Singapore, who co-founded Singapore's second newspaper the Singapore Free Press and Mercantile Advertiser in 1835.
