Son of the owner of Hiap Chuan Joo sawmill with four business associates

Hiap Chuan Joo was one of the largest sawmill factories in Singapore. Located at Balestier, it produced wooden crates used for beverages including Coca-Cola and Tiger Beer. Taken in the 1950s this photograph shows a view of an exhibition of woodwork factories' products. It is likely to be a function of Tiger Breweries. In this photograph Ng Siew Hoo, second son of the owner of Hiap Chuan Joo, poses with four business associates. Ng is seated on the right. Title devised by Library staff.
