Cross Street shophouses : exterior

Reproduction Available:

This 1967 photograph shows some three-storey shophouses on Cross Street. Cross Street is a one-way street beginning from Raffles Quay. In this photograph, the shophouses are located on Cross Street between South Bridge Road and Telok Ayer. The Chinese called the street keklengkai koi, or Kling Street, because many Indians used to live there in the 1820s. Title devised by Library staff.
