"This is a picture of a check-in point at Siloso Beach on 28 August, 8:30 PM. The beach was closed at that time and even at regular hours only registered people could check in. This was in complete contrast to the carefree pre-COVID times. Also, a lot of people hadn’t gone to the beach during first half and as Circuit Breaker eased during Phase 2, more people started venturing out. It was indeed a Long time no-Siloso sea beach for a lot of us."--Contributed by Deepika Sharma, as part of the "Documenting COVID-19 in Singapore" collection community call. This photograph shows the SafeEntry sign at Siloso Beach during phase 2 of re-opening. Visitors are required to scan the QR code before entering. Scanning the QR code enables the government to do contact tracing. Additional description by Library staff.
