This 1982 photograph shows Neil Road, from across New Bridge Road and Kampong Bahru Road junction. It shows a view of a wide road with two-storey shophouses at the far end. On the left can be seen a pedestrian crossing and traffic lights. Neil Road is named after Colonel Neil of the Madras Fusiliers, of the Indian Mutiny of 1857. Title devised by Library staff.
