This 1863 photograph depicts a shot of a Travellers' palm, also known scientifically as Ravenala madagascariensis, located at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Underneath the palm tree, four Malay men are resting. The image was digitized from a Sachtler & Co. album entitled "Views and types of Singapore, 1863". Title information from donor.
