This 1967 photograph shows shophouses featuring full-length French windows, and fanlights. They could be of the second transitional style (late 1930s), as characterised by the three-bay structure and moderate ornamentation. Located near River Valley Road, Tong Watt Road is named after Tan Tong Watt, the Hokkien landowner who had owned it. Title devised by Library staff.
