This 1992 photograph shows Lorong 38 Geylang, towards Guillemard Road. It shows a view of a street with shophouses and roadside parking lots to the right of the photograph. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term "kilang", Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
