This 1992 photograph depicts Lorong 37 Geylang, from Geylang Road. It shows a view of a one-way street with shophouses to the left, and roadside parking lots to the right. A block of residential apartments and a restaurant can also be seen in the photograph. Geylang is believed to be a corruption of the term "kilang", Malay for factory, from the coconut and lemongrass processing factories of the area. Title devised by Library staff.
