This is a photograph which shows three actresses dressed as samsui women in the drama serial titled "Samsui Women" (红头巾). Two of them seem to be in a conversation while the other is holding a wooden pole. From their surroundings, it is evident that they are at a construction site. They are dressed in the characteristic samsui red headgear and blue samfoo (sometimes spelt samfu), a tunic-and-trouser suit. Title devised by Library staff. Date of creation estimated.
